Alex is a graphic designer and typographer. He has previously worked at London studios SEA Design and Pentagram and with clients such as John Lewis, The Royal Academy of Art, Lloyd’s of London, New Designers, London Art Fair, Monotype and Pink Floyd.

What role does music play in your life as a creative?

Music is an absolute constant: whilst commuting to work, whilst at work and also at home in the evening, I always chose to listen to music rather than watching television.

Tell us about your playlist:

The playlist is just a mix of songs that I have on constant rotation in the studio at the moment. I think it’s important to keep seeking out new music, new films, new art and new design. Respect the past, but don’t live in it.
